Grand Master Yang Zhenduo disciple ceremony and Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan 5^th Generation lineage Holder ceremony

On July 11th, 2009, Grand Master Yang Zhenduo accepted disciple ceremony, namely Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan 5th Generation lineage Holder Ceremony. Master Yang Jun officially became Grand Master Yang Zhenduo’s inner disciple and Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan 5th Generation lineage Holder (掌门人 Zhǎng Mén Rén).

Grand Master Chen Zhenglei presided over this ceremony. Grand Master Sun Yongtian, Grand Master Wu Wenhan, Grand Master Ma Hailong, Grand Master Chen Zhenglei, Pat Rice, William W. Wojasinski, Carl D. Meeks, Lin Qiuya, Song Bin, and Chen Juan were as witnesses participated entire ceremony.

This ceremony was simple and solemn. Grand Masters of all the five style were there, together with other special witnesses, to witness this special ceremony.

Everybody was happy, after ceremony everybody drank, danced, and sang. Master Sun Yongtian made a lot of jokes, Master Ma Hailong performed Salsa, and his wife sang a Spanish song. Master Chen Zhenglei and his wife sang a song. Jason (son of Master Yang Jun y Fang Hong) performed a Di Tang Chuan which he created by himself.

Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan has been spreading more than one hundred years since Yang Luchan created it. After four generations’ hard work and spreading, participants are all over the world. It is currently one of the most popular Tai Chi Styles. It is the treasure of Chinese Wu Shu. In order to continue developing the Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan worldwide, I have officially decided to accept Yang Jun as the inner disciple and the 5^th generation of Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan.
Yang Jun stayed with me when he was a baby. He started his Tai Chi journey when he was five years old. He started to teach Tai Chi Chuan with me overseas when he was eighteen years old. We are grandfather and grandson as much as teacher and disciple. After more than thirty years of hard work, in accordance with everyone’s recommendations and my observations, I establish Yang Jun as the 5^th lineage holder of Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan.
Yang Jun is mature, skilled and humble. He is good at gathering everyone together, and he wants to devote his entire life to Tai Chi. In accordance with everyone’s comments, I establish Yang Jun as 5^th lineage holder of Yang Family. I am sure he can take on this important task as 5^th lineage holder. I know he will continue to develop the Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan and gather all colleagues in different styles to spread Tai Chi Chuan to contribute for more people and more people improve their health and longevity.
